ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ladies Bible Study: Steadfast

What does it mean to be steadfast in a world full of distraction, discouragement, and difficulty? The book of James gives us wisdom for every season—through trials, temptations, suffering, and blessing. James calls us to a faith that’s resilient and active—not just hearing the Word, but doing it. He confronts our sin, our speech, and our pride, urging us to live with integrity and perseverance. At the heart of it all is the reminder that God’s steadfast love is the foundation of our steadfast faith.

Join us for this 7-week study as we walk through the book of James together.

Cost: $20 – Sign up and pick up your book at the Information Counter.
Please complete Chapter 1 homework before your first meeting.

Men's Discipleship

Our next Men’s Discipleship will start Thursday, August 7th.  There will be an AM and a PM study.  Most of us will meet on Thursdays at 7 PM here at the church.  There will also be a 7 AM study at the Chick-Fil-A in Lilburn.  We’ll be reading the book, The Case for Christ by author Lee Strobel.

Whether you’ve recently started following Christ or you’re still exploring His claims, this study will be especially valuable. Strobel’s investigation into the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus will not only strengthen your own faith but also equip you to respond to the questions and objections of those you’ve been witnessing to.

Each week, we’ll read a few chapters on our own, then gather in small groups on Thursday nights to discuss what we’ve learned. As Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” We all need sharpening—and this study has the potential to make a lasting impact in your walk with the Lord.

You can sign up today at the Information Counter. The cost is $10, which includes your copy of the book.

Home School Moms Ministry

Homeschool moms and your kids! Join us for a time of fun and fellowship as we meet at Bay Creek Park in Loganville on Saturday, August 9th, at 10:00 a.m. This is a great chance to connect with other moms, let the kids play, and build a community rooted in Christ. Whether you homeschool your children or are just exploring homeschool life, we’d love to see you there! Bring water and snacks!

If you have any questions, talk to Tricia Barrett.

Hope to see you there!

Boys and Girls Discipleship Group

If you’re a parent of a third, fourth, or fifth-grade student, you can sign your child up for a discipleship group this morning! Discipleship groups meet once a month during the school year. There are fun things like pool parties and climbing Stone Mountain, but also digging into the Word and growing in relationships with each other. Middle School can be a tough time, so if they can develop these bonds before that, it can make the transition easier. The first meeting for the boys is scheduled for August 17, and the first meeting for the girls is set for August 23. Make sure to sign up to get all the details!

Contact Stacy Chapman for more information or questions!

Summer Baptism & BBQ

We are excited about our Baptism and BBQ event coming up on Sunday evening, August 17th, at 6:30 PM. A FREE BBQ dinner will be served under the pavilion, and a baptism will take place on the back lawn. If you would like to be baptized that night, please see one of our pastors. Bring the whole family out for a fun night of food, fellowship, and celebration of those who have committed their lives to following Jesus!  We’ll also be welcoming our CBI students and their families with us this day, and we invite you to come get to know our students – and give them a warm, Calvary Chapel welcome.

Deep South Pastors Conference 2025

This year’s Deep South Pastors Conference will be September 1-3, and we invite you to come be a part!  Our theme this year is “Lessons for Leaders”. It’s three days of teaching, fellowship, and delicious BBQ! Facilitating the conference has a lot of moving parts, and we will need your help to make it all possible! We are seeking volunteers to assist in various ways, including serving food, maintaining the building, and more! If you have a heart to serve in this way, we encourage you to sign up! You can stop by the information counter this morning or call the church office during the week. For more information, please speak with one of our pastors.

Please be in prayer for the pastors speaking at the conference, the pastors attending, and the volunteers who will be serving.

Women's Gathering: "The Full Armor of God"

This year, our focus is on a passage from Ephesians 6, “Putting on the Full Armor of God.” In this world, we need to become fully equipped to fight the good fight, finding victory in our everyday lives. Each piece of armor describes the protection available to us as believers, each having a distinct purpose and means of defense against temptation and evil.

The Armor of God

Shoes of the Gospel of Peace

Shield of Faith

Backpack Buddies

Backpack Buddies is an outreach partnering with Shiloh Elementary. Each week during the school year, we send home backpacks of food to students on the free and reduced lunch program. Each school day they are provided a meal by the school, however, on the weekends, they are often on their own. So our bags of food are sent home on Friday afternoons. Only certain foods can be sent home, so make sure you check out the approved foods list at the info counter! We are particularly looking for pudding cups, small cereal boxes, and canned meals. Thank you so much for your support!
