ANNOUNCEMENTS
Communion

COMMUNION || We’ll be serving communion on Sunday morning, December 8, during both of our services.

Ladies Christmas Event

The Ladies Women’s Christmas Outreach is taking place TONIGHT! Join us for a night of Christmas music, a message by Jenny Houston and Alli Taylor, and a donut buffet! The event starts at 7pm, but the doors open at 6:30 if you want to come early to look around the Christmas Shoppe located in the Brook, or find things to bid on in for the silent auction. See you tonight!

Snowflake Outreach

SNOWFLAKE OUTREACH || In the foyers, you will find snowflakes hanging on Christmas trees.  If you would like to provide gifts for a family in need this Christmas, here is how you can help: Choose 1 or more snowflakes from the tree. Each snowflake represents a child in our community who family is struggling to provide during the holiday season. On the snowflake, you’ll see the name, gender, age of the child as well as 2-3 gifts that child would like to have. The price limit on gifts is $50 per child. After you purchase your gifts, wrap them and attach the snowflake to the top. We recommend you take a picture of the snowflake just in case you lose it! Bring your gifts back to the church by Sunday, December 15.

CCCS • Christmas Musical

The students at Calvary Chapel Christian School have been practicing for months for their annual Christmas musical. This year it’s titled “Carol and the Belles”, a 1950s diner staff that wants to celebrate Christmas ALL YEAR LONG. Come enjoy the show on December 17th or December 18th. It’s great for the whole family.

Senior Adult Christmas Party

Senior adults, you’re invited to a Christmas Get-Together at the home of Pastor Sandy and Kathy! It will be on Wednesday, December 18th from noon until 3 pm. You can sign up at the information counter and let us know if you need a ride to their house, we have several volunteers happy to transport you to the get-together. It’s going to be casual, comfortable, and fun with holiday snacks, soup and seasonal beverages. Please join us! Why? Because while we may be retired, Joy never retires!

High School • Operation Christmas Child

December 20th, our high school youth group will be participating again this year in Operation Christmas Child! They will get to take part in packaging and processing the Christmas gifts Samaritan’s Purse sends all across the world. Parents, this is a great way for your students to get further involved in their youth group, while serving others through outreach during the Christmas season. Space is limited, so see Pastor Andrew to get signed up!

Gift Wrapping Outreach

On December 21st, we’re going out into the community and offering FREE Christmas gift wrapping to people out working on their Christmas shopping.  You can sign up to go with us at the information counter! You’ll have the opportunity to talk to people, invite them to our Christmas Eve services and offer a service to the community.

North Carolina Hurricane Relief Trip

Hey church, we are planning another hurricane relief trip to North Carolina on December 9-12. Those affected by Hurricane Helene are still rebuilding and in need of help. We will be serving with the relief effort at Calvary Chapel Asheville. If you are interested in joining us on the trip and would like more information, head to the information counter or call the church office 770.736.2828

Christmas Eve Services

Hey Church! Join us for any one of our 3 Christmas Eve Services on Sunday, December 22 at 6 PM, or Tuesday, December 24 at 4 PM and 7 PM. The Sunday Night service on December 22 is for families and members of our church who may be out of town during the week of Christmas, but still want an opportunity to attend our Christmas Eve services. It will be a memorable night of Christmas music, a special message from Pastor Sandy, birthday cake for Jesus, and more! Don’t forget to invite your friends and family, and we’ll see you there!

Ladies Bible Study: Esther

Ladies, our Winter Ladies Bible Study is coming up soon! We will be going through a 7-week study on Esther from Kelly Minter. Although our time today looks different from Esther’s, our God is just as active and faithful, and He has called you for such a time as this. The study starts in January. The Cost is $25, and you will receive your book on the first night. There are multiple study options to choose from, sign up today at this link, call the church office, or at the info counter!

Backpack Buddies

Backpack Buddies is an outreach partnering with Shiloh Elementary. Each week during the school year, we send home backpacks of food to students on the free and reduced lunch program. Each school day they are provided a meal by the school, however, on the weekends, they are often on their own. So our bags of food are sent home on Friday afternoons. Only certain foods can be sent home, so make sure you check out the approved foods list at the info counter! We are particularly looking for pudding cups, small cereal boxes, and canned meals. Thank you so much for your support!
